Blue moon.

The most beautiful way to watch time pass is to follow the shadow of the moon. Last night the moon was missing from the sky and only starlight lit the night with singing flames. Now the moon rides the daylight sky.
Soon will be the time of the cat claw moon, the merest hint of a bright crescent, the best time for hunting.
Soon the seals will be gone for another year.
Maybe this year we will have snow.

50 years ago today, far away, people threw up a ball into the sky to float around the earth. It beeped a signal back to earth and all around the world crowds would gather at night to watch as it passed overhead. Now the night sky is filled with satellites that watch and beep, tracing criss-cross patterns through the stars.
People are so strange. The universe is so beautiful.

Wow! We had a pretty full moon here a few days ago, but MomBean was too busy enjoying the moonlight to think of gettin' the camera. Your bean is much smarter. :)

Have you read the book "Moon Dust" by [name escapes me]. Get Her to read it to you. Meetings with all the living Moonwalkers, including Neil. Strangely moving and borderline poetic by the end. Brings an inexplicable tear to the eye.

"Cat-claw" moon! I like that. I've never heard it called that before. Is it your original? If so you are a remarkable lady. Well, you are that anyway.

Cat claw moon came from Nick Green who wrote Catkin.
The cover has a claw moon on it, just a passing comment from a talented man that caught its claw in my ear.
Sometimes a writer will say something that makes you see the world in a different way, or a painter will bring something to light to make you see the world anew. I love this.
Nick posted above this comment, so go to his blog for more beautiful words.
Jackie ( sometimes the cats let me write on my own machine! Mostly I do it when they are not looking.)
